First off, what is quilling you ask? Well: "Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. ...". Found from google! Most quilling uses 3 mm wide strips, so very thin. Most of my quilling is 3D, so it's a little wider at 5 mm, for doing the 3D stuff! It involves using lots of paper... Here is some of my work: This took me so long to make, I considered it to be epic: This will be updated .

O: That is so awesome! I don't know how you can do that! They all look amazing, I don't think I have the patience or skillful fingers one needs to do this . But really, these are really, really cool! I love those fish!

You must have a lot of patience! Those are pretty neat, I especially love the flower arrangement! From a distance I bet it looks real. The detail is unprecedented!

This is amazing! It's all so intricate. The little basket is adorable, and the vase of flowers is gorgeous too. How long does the average piece take you to make?

This is amazing! It's all so intricate. The little basket is adorable, and the vase of flowers is gorgeous too. How long does the average piece take you to make? Well, um...4-7 hours or so. Keep in mind this stuff is tiny too, and that tiny bowl consists of 10 feet of paper, just the bowl, and that's small. The royal set up took 55 hours to make (I kept track ). This is how you quill, the basics are pretty simple, though I don't use that prissy quilling coach www.youtube.com/watch?v=UefgLb-nzaM&feature=relatedIt's just on how to twirl it, there are more interesting videos out there. The lady twirls it a few times. Thanks everyone! The whole "I would never have patience" thing is probably true, and sometimes you'd be like "I need a magnifying glass" (I tease myself that I am going to have worse eyesight then I already do because of this ), but it's not HARD per se.
